Hi, I'm Nina, founder of Musical Walkabout CIC.

A professional UK musician since 2003, I continue to perform live and teach music today. The privilege of enjoying music's transformative power on a daily basis imbues me with a sense of purpose; music is a human right. Everyone should have access to this tremendous resource.

​

Assisting people to live well with a dementia using music, and supporting staff and families to improve wellbeing stems from this passion. In my youth, I felt powerless to help my Mum as she cared for her mother post-diagnosis of vascular dementia.

​

Musical Walkabout was born from the belief that music can help, can connect us, can speak when we cannot find words. I hope you'll join me and seek ways we can all come together to bring more music into our daily lives.
