Songsters Across Kent is a community music programme delivering 60 inclusive music sessions reaching 200 people impacted by dementia around our county.
Our aim is to support people living with dementia and their caregivers through shared singing, rhythm, and movement.

Sessions are delivered in local hubs across Kent, creating moments of joy, connection, and inclusion.

MUSIC HELPS
Welcome to the website of Musical Walkabout CIC, a Kent-based community interest company dedicated to exploring, promoting and practicing music for wellbeing. Our 'Music Helps' programs harness the power of music to creatively engage people experiencing social isolation, living with a dementia, and the caregivers and staff who support them to live well. We are passionate about inclusion and work in fun, person-centred ways.

Musical Walkabout have delivered services, projects, workshops, courses, and events for Arts Council England, NHS, Kent County Council, South East Care Home Education Program, Alzheimer’s Show, Care Home Expo UK, Dementia Pathways, co-written a presentation by Found in Music at the United Nations, a bespoke music strategy for Dover Harmonia Dementia Village, and delivered an expert witness knowledge transfer at The House of Lords.
